Vehicle Music System Theft.

If your vehicle music is stolen or vandalized, there are two options when it comes to filing a claim.

Option 1

Report the matter to the police and obtain a property theft police abstract. Thereafter you may go a head and replace the music system then claim the money from your underwriter. If you choose this option please be sure to take pictures to show before replacement. After the stereo system is replaced, take pictures as well. Here’s what you will need to make a claim after replacement:

  • Complete your insurer’s vehicle theft claim form.
  • Provide a property theft police abstract report.
  • Provide photos of before and after replacement.
  • Provide cash sale and ETR receipt used for replacement of the radio cassette.
  • Provide a copy of your drivers’ license.
  • Provide a copy of your vehicle’s logbook.
  • Provide bank details.

Option 2

Report the matter to the police and obtain a property theft police abstract. Thereafter complete and submit the following documentation:

  • Your insurer’s vehicle theft claim form.
  • The property theft police abstract report.
  • Photos showing before and after replacement.
  • Provide a copy of your drivers’ license.
  • Provide a copy of your vehicle’s logbook.

Send these documents to your insurance underwriter or us. Upon receiving the above an authority letter will be issued by your insurer for replacement by a garage fitters in the panel of insurer.
